Ccaps to provide publication-quality
translations from Portuguese to English

Experienced writers will be the foundation for the new high-end translation service.

Ccaps Translation and Localization announces its new high-end translation service from Portuguese into English. This service will be directed by two senior associates with outstanding reputations in the translation market. Steve Yolen and Peter Warner are specialists in editing and improving technical, financial and journalistic texts. Together with Ccaps’ advanced in-house technology and proven capability to manage high-volume translation and localization projects, Yolen and Warner will be able to provide high-quality final texts for publication in English, no matter how large the client’s request.

According to Yolen, the service was founded when he began working with Ccaps on large translation projects that required significant management infrastructure.” We have been seeing a growing number of requests for larger-scale projects with shorter deadlines, and these projects require a good team. Therefore, a translation team and a method of organization with an integrated technology were essential to handle the deadline pressure and to achieve expected results.”

Both Yolen and Warner bring to the table their extensive experience in the area of translation. However, both also have extensive experience previous to their translation work, ranging from economics to journalism.

Yolen, a journalist who specializes in business and financial reporting, has been working in Latin America for 35 years. In 1979, he founded the Latin America Daily Post in Rio de Janeiro, and served as its executive-editor until 1988. Yolen also wrote more than 40 special reports on the economy and politics of South American countries for The Wall Street Journal between 1983-2000.

Warner has a PhD in Economics from Michigan State University and specializes in Latin American and Brazilian economic affairs. Previously, Warner served as Vice President and Senior Economist at the Bank of America World Headquarters in San Francisco.

The new Ccaps executive-level Portuguese-to-English translation service is designed for clients whose business activities call for extensive use of reports, presentations, websites and other text-based products in English to compete in the global marketplace.

According to Warner, the new service is designed to meet the growing needs of Brazilian companies as they aim to perfect their business communication in the international market.

“This [Brazilian] market has evolved over the past five years from companies having little concern about their English language presentation to the point today where this is considered crucial to business strategies and plans,” Warner said. “Any Brazilian company that puts up a website, sells in foreign markets, has overseas partners or has shares listed on overseas stock markets urgently needs a service like the one we provide.”

The new Ccaps English language service will provide translated documents such as annual reports, websites, financial statements, Requests for Proposal and Competitive Bids, tender documentation, Brazilian regulations and legislation, internal documentation between business partners, shareholder information, Due Diligence Investigations, marketing presentations and legal documentation, among other texts essential to conducting business.
