Letter From the Editor

We proudly present the first edition of the Ccaps Translation and Localization Newsletter! This electronic publication will offer articles on translation, localization and other subjects of interest to Ccaps clients, vendors, friends and employees.

We are pleased to be launching our first newsletter during the month of January in celebration of the New Year. One of the highlights of this edition is the article “Agencies are from Mars, Translators are from Venus”, written by Ccaps’ Managing Director, Fabiano Cid. The article describes with refined humor the “Seven Capital Sins” committed by translators and offers helpful tips on how to improve the tricky freelance translator-agency relationship. A second article provides the Ccaps 2003 retrospective, describing three company highlights from the past year in the corporate, social and cultural areas.

On behalf of the Ccaps team, I would like to wish you a 2004 filled with much success.

Sincerely,

Sarah Hyde
International and Marketing Coordinator
