Bem-vindo à primeira edição do boletim da Ccaps Translation and Localization! Este boletim eletrônico será uma publicação mensal com artigos sobre tradução, localização e outros assuntos de interesse dos clientes, amigos e funcionários da Ccaps.

Estamos lançando a primeira versão neste mês de dezembro, já no ritmo das festas de fim de ano. O destaque desta edição é o artigo “Agências são de Marte, tradutores são de Vênus”, escrito por Fabiano Cid, Diretor-Gerente da Ccaps. O artigo descreve com humor refinado os “7 Pecados Capitais” cometidos por tradutores e dá dicas de como melhorar o complicado relacionamento entre tradutor e agência. Um segundo artigo faz uma retrospectiva do que se passou em 2003, trazendo três importantes realizações e colaborações da Ccaps nos âmbitos corporativo, social e cultural. Por fim, no boletim deste mês você encontrará um gráfico representativo da Common Sense Advisory sobre o uso de ferramentas de memória de tradução.

Welcome to the first edition of the Ccaps Translation and Localization Newsletter! This electronic publication will be distributed monthly, offering articles on translation, localization and other subjects of interest to Ccaps clients, friends and employees.

We are pleased to be launching our first newsletter during the month of December to help ring in the New Year. The highlight of this edition is the article “Agencies are from Mars, Translators are from Venus”, written by Ccaps’ Managing Director, Fabiano Cid. The article describes with refined humor the “Seven Capital Sins” committed by translators and offers helpful tips on how to improve the tricky translator-agency relationship. A second article provides a Ccaps 2003 retrospective, describing three company highlights in the corporate, social and cultural areas. Finally, in this month’s newsletter you will find an illustrative graphic from the Common Sense Advisory on translation memory tool use.
