Welcome
to the fifth edition of the Ccaps Newsletter!
The
first highlight of the June newsletter is a feature
article by Rebecca Ray, the Global Business Editor for
the Localization Industry Standard Association (LISA).
Ray’s article discusses current trends in the
localization industry, including the move to outsource
to Latin America, a region she describes as a “sleeping
giant” that is often underestimated by its Northern
neighbors.
We
have also included an informative and upbeat article
by freelance translator Amy Duncan. She describes the
different online resources available for translators
and gives a list of sites and discussion groups where
one can search for answers to their linguistic questions.
Finally,
in this current edition we are debuting our Localization
Tip section! With every edition, Ccaps software engineer
Ricardo Alves will now be sharing valuable information
designed to streamline text translation and product
localization.
